Dear Mrs Neelam Seth,

the Indian Exservicemen Movement (IESM) have formulated a Pension Cell placing myself as its head. The Cell is a voluntary welfare effort to assist pensioners recieve their promulgamated dues either through banks or directly. It is a triservice composition of both retired officers and PBOR. While knowledge of pensionay rules and regulations would be an asset the guiding motivation for selection of Members is the zeal and enthusiasm of the voluteers. The Cell has been in existance for just over a month and we have been overwhelmed by the cases being reffered to us both national and international. With news of our limited success spreading more cases are reffered. Many especially of widows and those due disability pension are heartbreaking.
We appreciate that this is but the tip of the iceberg which in most cases require the assistance of PCDA(P), PCDA(N) and DCDA(AF) with intervention at times from your Department. Pensions as my long association with it, is a vey personal issue. While official agencies are accepted, private individuals or agencies are persons non grata.
I write this to you to very kindly grant the Pension Cell the recognition appropriate to deal with banks and CDAs on pensionary issues of ESM and widows.
Looking forward to your early reply
With kind regards
Yours sincerely
Vice Admiral Barin Ghose (Retired)
Director Pension Cell
Indian Ex Servicemen Movement
